Liposuction

Liposuction is designed to remove stubborn areas of fat that are resistant to diet and exercise to produce a thinner, more contoured appearance. It is performed by a tumescent technique through small incisions to sculpture the body. Fluid is injected into the fat to partially dissolve it, decrease bleeding, and provide anesthesia to the area. Fat is gently removed as a liquid with small tubes (cannulae).

Liposuction is commonly performed on the abdomen, hips, thighs, lower and mid back, upper arms, neck (submental area), and lateral breasts.
