Facelift

A facelift (or rhytidectomy) is performed to improve primarily the mid-to-lower face and neck. It may help to partially or completely rid the face of jowls, wrinkles, fat and loose skin in these areas. It is also helpful in restoring the beautiful jawline and smooth neck that may have been altered by the ravages of time.

There are many types of facelifts. I prefer a lift in which both the skin and the deep tissues are addressed. A " skin only " lift, or " mini-lift ", while allowing the patient to return to public life more quickly, usually relapses more quickly. In other words, it does not last.

Many patients also request soft tissue fillers, such as Restylane, Radiesse, Artefill, etc. at the time of surgery for fine lines around the mouth, lips and nasolabial folds.
